Pesticide Analysis in Food and the Environment

Pesticides are routinely used on crops and for mosquito control to combat malaria. These pesticides were considered safe and effective but over the years the impact of their application is evident.

Major problems include:

Loss of biodiversity

Low birth weight

Water pollution

Soil pollution

Interference with natural pest control

Human health – Carcinogens

EPL offers testing for banned Organochlorine -and Organophosphorus pesticides that may be encountered in soil and water.
