UIS Organic Laboratory (Pty) was established in 2007.
In 2010, the laboratory relocated to Route 21 Corporate Park, Irene. Our new premises and the addition of automated state-of-the-art analytical equipment allowed us to increase our capabilities and productivity while still providing high quality results. Furthermore, the new premises and increased capabilities created an excellent working environment for our analytical scientists to flourish.
We are pleased to announce that UIS Organic Laboratory (UISOL) and UIS Sediba Laboratory (UISSL) have officially merged on the 1st of June 2022. The newly merged company is now known as ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION LABORATORY (EPL) and will trade like that going forward. The merger has strengthened our market position and expanded our technical scope with greater efficiency.
As the management structure and technical expertise have remained the same, we can offer the same high level of service, dedication and commitment to quality as before from our accredited SANAS laboratory.

About Our World class Facility
Committed to remaining at the forefront of scientific technology, our accredited SANAS laboratory is equipped with the latest analytical instrumentation that consistently yields accurate, reliable and verifiable results. Highly advanced gas chromatographs and mass spectrometers enables us to achieve low levels of quantification when analysing trace level contaminants. Most of our systems and in-house developed methods are extensively automated, providing the fastest turn-around times in the market.

We adhere to a strict quality management system outlined in ISO/IEC 17025:2017 guide, and our laboratory is routinely assessed by the South African National Accreditation System (SANAS). Furthermore, we regularly participate in independent proficiency testing schemes to evaluate the quality of results, robustness of our methods and integration of our quality management system. By using only internationally accredited and traceable calibrations standards, we ensure that our results are always accurate, reliable and verifiable.
